Constitutions,
Chapter III Excerpts
God has graced us through
Jesus Christ with his Holy Spirit, whose love has been poured out in our
hearts. We respond through a life of praise and thanksgiving.
the Benedictine way of life helps us come to a keen awareness of God's
presence and to an attitude of unceasing prayer.
In the Eucharist, which is
the center of our liturgical life, we encounter the Risen Lord in a
special way through word and sacrament. Here, above all, our
community is ever renewed and united.
The Opus Dei, our
common divine praise in the Liturgy of the Hours, for which we gather
several times a day, bears witness to the priority of rendering glory to
God.
Lectio Divina
-- Scripture reading,
spiritual reading and interior prayer -- is essential for our life.
Personal dialog with God is
continued throughout the day.
